1. Why is LTE and WiMAX being discontinued?

The discontinuation is due to changes in the sector’s licensing and regulatory framework related to spectrum usage fees, making continued operations unviable.

2. When will the service officially end or stop?

Service will cease functioning after January 31, 2026. You will need to switch to an alternative service before then to avoid disruptions.

3. Are you offering an alternative service?

We do not have a direct alternative with matching speeds or cost. However, provided we have suitable coverage in your area the business is offering Fibre, Enterprise Starlink and other satellite services.

4. How do I transition to a new service provided by Dandemutande?

Contact your Account Manager or our Sales Team sales@dandemutande.africa for:

  • Contract details
  • Installation scheduling
5. What happens if fibre or satellite services coverage is not available in my area?

We will not be able to sign you up, on instances where there is no coverage.

6. Will I receive a refund on the equipment I purchased?

No, we do not have a refund or buyback option for used equipment.

7. Will I receive a refund or credit on the advance or prepayment I made?

Yes, refund is eligible for advance payments.

8. Will you buy-back the equipment?

There is no buy-back or return option.

9. What happens to equipment I am using on rental?

Equipment and devices supplied on rental (not purchased) remains the property of Dandemutande. Our team is available to collect the equipment when you advise and or suspend services.

10. Am I still able to get any help or support?

11. Is this impacting only my location?

Discontinuation of LTE and WiMAX is across Zimbabwe.

12. Is Dandemutande closing?

No, however we will stop providing LTE and WiMAX service effective January 31, 2026.

13. Will the LTE and WiMAX discontinuation affect my voice services or bundle packages?

Yes, it will affect bundle packages however you can still access the same services at standard cost price.

14. Will there be a grace period after January 31, 2026?

No grace period will be applicable. The notification states a hard cutoff date.
